Scholarships: How to Apply

The College of Applied Human Sciences scholarship endowment funds total almost $4 million, thanks to the generosity of alumni and friends. More than 100 scholarships are awarded annually to recognize outstanding academic achievement. Scholarships range in value from three hundred to several thousand dollars.

The process for applying for scholarships is university-wide and involves filling out just one application to be eligible for various scholarships. You must be a full-time undergraduate or graduate student in one of the Departments or Schools in the College of Applied Human Sciences, or a teacher licensure student to be eligible. The process opens January 1 each year, and applications are due March 1, for scholarships for the following academic year. You may access information about and apply for Applied Human Sciences and University wide scholarships at the Colorado State University Student Financial website.

The Colorado State University Scholarship Application (CSUSA) is the application to use to apply for the Students First Scholarships at CSU. These are the scholarships administered by Student Financial Services, as well as the scholarships administered by the academic colleges and the CSU Women's Association. The CSUSA is available January 1, 2006, and the deadline is March 1, 2006 at 11 P.M. (MST). To access the CSUSA, logon to RAMweb at ramweb.colostate.edu (PID and PAC number or eID username/password necessary).

A committee comprised of faculty members from the College makes the selections. Many scholarships require that students meet a minimum GPA and some have financial need as a requirement for receiving the scholarship. Keep in mind however, that you may be eligible for some scholarships even if you do not currently receive financial assistance, or have a GPA lower than 3.0.

The CSU Scholarship Application (CSUSA) for 2006-2007 will be available on RAMWeb on January 1, 2006, and the deadline is March 1, 2006 at 11 p.m. (MST). For more detailed information about applying for scholarships, please visit the Student Financial Services Website.
